Launch of Arab Artificial Intelligence Index in Universities

The University of Dubai and the Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF) have joined forces to introduce the Arab Index for Artificial Intelligence in Universities (AIU), a groundbreaking initiative that aims to monitor and analyze the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the humanities and theoretical sciences within Arab universities.

This global index, the first of its kind, consists of six main indicators and a total of 18 sub-indices. These indicators include educational curricula, university professors, smart laboratories, student skills, scientific research, and global partnerships with artificial intelligence manufacturers and technology pioneers.

Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, emphasized the importance of this index in promoting the integration of artificial intelligence technologies in higher education. He highlighted the need for Arab universities to keep pace with technological advancements and ensure that students and graduates are equipped with the necessary skills for the future job market.

Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, President of AIJRF, underscored the goal of motivating higher education institutions in the Arab region to embrace artificial intelligence technologies throughout the educational process. The index aims to enhance the skills of the academic team, students, and graduates, while also fostering a culture of artificial intelligence within Arab universities.

The Arab Index for Artificial Intelligence in Universities (AIU) is a collaborative effort between AIJRF and the University of Dubai, with the aim of aligning Arab universities with global trends in artificial intelligence integration. Through this index, Arab universities are encouraged to adopt advanced technology tools and solutions to enhance the educational experience and prepare students for the digital age.
