The recent Gala de Reconnaissance pour les entrepreneurs noirs du Québec celebrated the achievements of Black entrepreneurs in Quebec, shedding light on their contributions to the business world. The event, held at the Théâtre Saint-James in Montreal, honored outstanding projects and personalities, with two finalists from Laval standing out among the crowd.
Olivier Doleyres, the Chairman and CEO of Inter Clôtures Sentinelle, and Alexandre Kénol, the founder of Gestion Événements Alexandre Kénol (GEAK) inc., were recognized for their entrepreneurial spirit and success. Doleyres, who took over Inter Clôtures Sentinelle in 2018, has seen the company’s revenue double in just six years, making it a leader in the fence installation sector in Quebec.
On the other hand, Kénol’s GEAK has thrived despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, organizing over 100 major events in Laval and Montreal. The company’s innovative approach to event management has helped clients achieve their objectives and enhance their brand image.
Both entrepreneurs shared their secrets to success, highlighting the importance of hard work, dedication, and innovation in their respective fields. With their businesses flourishing and making a significant impact in the industry, Doleyres and Kénol serve as inspiring examples for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially those from immigrant backgrounds.
The Gala de Reconnaissance not only celebrated the achievements of Black entrepreneurs but also highlighted the diversity and talent present in Quebec’s business community. As more immigrants contribute to the entrepreneurial landscape, events like these play a crucial role in recognizing their efforts and inspiring future generations of business leaders.
