Former President Donald Trump’s latest attack on E Jean Carroll has sparked speculation of a new defamation lawsuit, as his Truth Social rant targeted the writer on the eve of closing arguments in his hush money trial.

In his message, Trump referred to Carroll as “human scum” and criticized the judge who awarded her $91 million in a defamation case. Carroll’s lawyer, Robert Kaplan, responded by stating that all options are on the table, hinting at a potential lawsuit.

Despite Trump’s false claims, a civil jury previously found him guilty of sexually abusing Carroll in 1996. In a separate defamation trial, he was ordered to pay her $83.3 million in damages.

The former president’s ongoing attacks on Carroll come as he faces charges in his hush money trial, where he is accused of falsifying business records to silence adult film star Stormy Daniels. Prosecutors allege that Trump’s “fixer” Michael Cohen made a $130,000 payment to Daniels, which Trump then reimbursed.
