The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Entrepreneurship Mentoring Programme Alumni Association, recently held a successful ‘greet and connect’ event in Lagos, led by Toyin Yusuf. The event aimed to reunite members from various cohorts since its inception in 2013, fostering an environment of entrepreneurship and collaboration for both business and personal growth.
With the theme ‘Entrepreneurship and Collaboration for Business and Personal Growth,’ the event inspired attendees to explore new opportunities and forge meaningful connections. Founder Toki Mabogunje’s passion for entrepreneurship was evident as the event kicked off with opening remarks by Secretary Gladys Igbekele, setting a tone of enthusiasm and camaraderie.
A highlight of the event was the engaging panel session featuring distinguished members of the Chamber and alumni of the programme, including Ajani Oluwatoyin, Seyi Abolaji, Abosede Yinka-Ogundimu, Queen Akinyoyenu, and Olaide Shoetan. The panel discussion delved into key topics on entrepreneurship, collaboration, and industry insights, with Providus Bank representatives on hand to address banking concerns.
LCCI director Taiwo Nola-Alausa commended the entrepreneurs and the strength of the alumni association, emphasizing the impact of mentorship and continuous learning in fostering business success. The association also announced its upcoming expo, the Entrepreneurship Mentoring Programme Alumni, in August 2024, inviting all entrepreneurs within the Nigerian ecosystem to engage and benefit from it.
The association remains steadfast in its mission to empower entrepreneurs, foster collaboration, and drive sustainable economic growth in Nigeria. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the dedication and resilience of the entrepreneurial community.
