Eisenhower Senior Awarded Paul Clough Memorial Scholarship
Eisenhower High School senior Tucker Lindell was recently honored with the prestigious Paul Clough Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded annually to an outstanding senior wrestler in Warren County. Lindell joins the ranks of previous winners Cael Black and Logan McDonald.
The scholarship was established in memory of Paul Clough, a former wrestler, coach, and teacher in the Warren County School District who tragically passed away at the age of 40. Lindell was presented with the award by members of Clough’s family, including his parents, wife, son, and daughter.
During the award presentation, Clough’s son Collin shared some of his father’s wisdom for aspiring wrestlers. He emphasized the importance of mental toughness, sportsmanship, and giving your best effort in every match.
The scholarship fund is supported by donations made in Clough’s memory, and contributions can be made at any Northwest branch. This scholarship not only honors Clough’s legacy but also provides financial support to deserving student-athletes in the Warren County wrestling community.
Lindell expressed gratitude for receiving the scholarship and vowed to uphold the values and principles that Clough stood for. This award serves as a reminder of the impact that dedicated coaches and mentors can have on young athletes, both on and off the mat.
