LMH Health, a prominent healthcare provider in Lawrence, Kansas, has announced the appointment of Rob Chestnut as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Chestnut, a well-known figure in the Lawrence community, brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as a city commissioner and as a member of LMH Health’s Board of Trustees.
In a press release issued by the hospital on Monday morning, LMH Health expressed its confidence in Chestnut’s ability to lead the organization’s financial operations. Chestnut, who is set to join the hospital on May 20, expressed his commitment to upholding LMH Health’s mission of promoting lifelong health in the community.
Prior to his appointment at LMH Health, Chestnut served as the CFO of Evolution Research Group, a national clinical trials company with operations in multiple states. His extensive financial experience and dedication to transparency and trust were highlighted as key factors in his selection for the CFO role.
The appointment of Chestnut comes following the departure of the hospital’s previous CFO, Mike Rogers, who was terminated after it was discovered that he had concealed his criminal record during the hiring process. The incident prompted LMH Health to implement stricter background checks for all new hires.
LMH Health President and CEO Russ Johnson expressed his confidence in Chestnut’s ability to lead the hospital’s financial operations, citing his passion for the organization and his track record of financial expertise. With Chestnut at the helm, LMH Health looks forward to a new chapter of financial stability and growth under his leadership.
