EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A unique form of therapy is now available in the Borderland for veterans, armed service members, first responders, and the community at PME-2scores, an equestrian holistic retreat. Located at 2901 Girl Scout Lane in Sunland Park, NM, this retreat offers a different approach to healing and personal growth.

CEO Deliris Montanez, a retired veteran who struggled with PTSD, found solace in working with horses and decided to share this healing experience with others. She believes that traditional medications and counseling may not work for everyone, and that equine therapy can provide a more natural and effective alternative.

Montanez emphasizes the empowering nature of Eagala therapy, allowing clients to find solutions to their problems independently with the support of horses. Currently, PME-2scores has eight horses, four of which assist with therapy sessions based on the client’s requirements.
