The Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its 2024 Business Resiliency Awards, and they are now accepting nominations for deserving businesses in the area. The deadline for nominations is Aug. 31, with the awards night set to take place at the C2 Centre in Bonnyville on Oct. 3.

Serina Parsons, the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of recognizing the hard work and dedication of local businesses. She highlighted that owning a business is a constant challenge, with new obstacles to overcome and skills to acquire for growth and development.

This year, there are seven categories of awards, including Outstanding Small Business, Outstanding Large Business, and Exemplary Customer Service. A panel of judges, consisting of past winners and community leaders, will determine the winners in each category.

Parsons noted that being nominated for or winning an award can serve as a powerful marketing tool for businesses, enhancing their brand visibility and attracting new customers. Additionally, participating in the awards allows businesses to benchmark themselves against their peers and strive for excellence and innovation in their products and services.

Overall, the Business Resiliency Awards aim to celebrate the contributions of local businesses to the community’s economic growth and development, fostering a culture of support and collaboration. The awards not only boost the morale of employees and management but also provide networking opportunities, marketing exposure, and access to resources for growth.
