Disney songwriting legend Richard M. Sherman, known for his iconic work on classics like Mary Poppins and “It’s a Small World,” has passed away at the age of 95, the Walt Disney Company announced on Saturday.

Sherman, who died due to an age-related illness at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, was one half of the legendary duo with his late brother, Robert B. Sherman. Together, they were responsible for creating some of the most beloved songs in Disney history.
