Restaurants on Long Island are gearing up for Mother’s Day, one of the busiest times of the year, by offering unique dining experiences to celebrate the special women in our lives.
At The Hampton Maid and its restaurant R.Aire in Hamptons Bay, owner Tara Poulakis is partnering with Bagordi Wines to introduce diners to exquisite wines from a 14th generation family-owned winery in the Rioja region of Spain. Guests will have the opportunity to savor organic tempranillo and garnacha wines, expertly paired with a Spanish-inspired menu, and meet the winemaker, Luis Manuel.
According to data from OpenTable, Mother’s Day was the biggest dining day of 2023, with 62% of respondents planning to spend the day at a restaurant, bar, or café. This year, 62% of respondents said they are planning to spend more than $75 per person on Mother’s Day dining.
In East Meadow, The Union is offering Mother’s Day specials on their brunch menu, including carrot cake pancakes, brioche French toast, and specialty cocktails. True Food Kitchen at Roosevelt Field in Garden City is offering a sharable “Mother’s Day treat tower” for brunch, while The Bell & Anchor in Sag Harbor is featuring special brunch and dinner menus.

Although they are currently sold out for Mother’s Day, reservations can be made in advance to experience their acclaimed brunch offerings.
