Long Island woman tragically dies after being ejected from Airstream trailer during family road trip

A tragic accident unfolded on an upstate New York highway over the weekend, resulting in the death of a Long Island woman. Monika Woroniecki, 58, lost her life when she fell out of a moving Airstream trailer during a family road trip to Watertown.

The fatal incident occurred when the passenger-side door of the trailer unexpectedly flew open, causing Woroniecki to tumble out while still holding onto the handle. She landed on the shoulder of State Route 12E, striking her head in the process.

Woroniecki’s husband, Robert, was driving the pickup truck pulling the trailer at the time of the tragedy. Despite the efforts of witnesses and emergency responders, Monika Woroniecki was pronounced dead at Samaritan Medical Center.

The family had been on a road trip from Stony Brook, Long Island, and was just 20 minutes away from their destination when the accident occurred. The shocking turn of events left relatives and onlookers devastated.
