Loved ones gather to commemorate one year since Nathan Wise went missing

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Family and friends of Nathan Wise gathered at Woodside Bible Fellowship Church in Elmira to mark the one-year anniversary of his disappearance. Wise, a 38-year-old man with Down syndrome, was last seen on May 12, 2023, in Toronto, and his family is still searching for answers.

Despite the lack of confirmed sightings, his loved ones are holding out hope that he will return home safely. The event at the church was a way for them to remember Nathan for who he was and to share memories and hope with each other.

Attendees wore jerseys in honor of Wise, who was described as an avid sports fan. His cousin, Jason Babcock, emphasized that Wise loved all Toronto sports teams and that wearing sports attire was a fitting tribute to him.

Toronto Police provided no new updates on the investigation but continue to urge anyone with information to come forward. They are also using social media platforms to keep Wise’s case in the public eye.

Despite the passage of time, the pain of Wise’s absence still lingers for his family and friends. However, their hope for his safe return remains strong.

As Babcock emotionally expressed, “We miss you, we love you. We just want you to be safe and be with us. We’re here for anything you ever need.” The search for Nathan Wise continues, and his loved ones are determined to find answers and bring him home.
