Actor Luke Newton, known for his role as Colin Bridgerton in the hit Netflix series ‘Bridgerton,’ is gearing up for his leading role in the upcoming Season 3. As the premiere date approaches, Newton has been seeking valuable advice from past series leads, Rege-Jean Page and Jonathan Bailey.
In a recent interview, Newton shared some insights he received from Page, who played the charismatic Simon, the Duke of Hastings, in the debut season. Page’s advice to Newton was simple yet crucial, “go on a big holiday before all the madness starts.”
Newton also expressed gratitude for Bailey’s continuous support, noting that Bailey has been a guiding presence throughout his journey. Reflecting on Bailey’s influence, Newton mentioned, “We talk all the time, and it was really nice in season 2 seeing how he conducted himself on set, knowing that I’d be next.”
As Newton prepares to delve into Colin’s romantic journey with Penelope Featherington, portrayed by Nicola Coughlan, in Season 3, he credits the advice and examples set by Page and Bailey for helping him navigate the complexities of his role.
Fans can catch up on the series by streaming Seasons 1 and 2, as well as the spinoff, ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,’ available on Netflix. The first four episodes of ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 are set to premiere on May 14, with the remaining episodes airing on June 13.
With the guidance of his predecessors and the support of his co-stars, Luke Newton is ready to shine in his leading role in ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3.
