Troy Fetty Steps Down as Madonna’s Head Football Coach

In a surprising announcement on Tuesday, Troy Fetty revealed that he has resigned from his position as Madonna’s head football coach. Fetty, who took over the role last season after Ted Arneault’s departure, led the Blue Dons to a 6-4 record, narrowly missing out on a playoff spot.

Having previously served as an assistant coach at Buckeye Local, Weir, and Brooke, Fetty expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the Madonna football program. In a statement, he mentioned that he is leaving to pursue other opportunities that align more closely with his career goals.

Fetty also thanked the school administration, coaching staff, players, parents, and support staff for their dedication and hard work throughout the season. He expressed confidence in the program’s future under new leadership and wished the team continued success.

With Fetty’s departure, Madonna will now be searching for its fifth head coach in the last four seasons. Despite the coaching changes, the Blue Dons remain optimistic about the future of their football program and are committed to building on the progress made under Fetty’s guidance.

As the search for a new head coach begins, the Madonna community reflects on Fetty’s contributions and looks forward to the next chapter in the school’s football program.
