The Minot High girls soccer team continues to dominate the competition, with a resounding 10-0 victory over Bismarck St. Mary’s in a rain-delayed match. Despite the weather setbacks, the Majettes showed no signs of slowing down as they scored early and often.
Sophomore Julia Lewis and her teammates wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, with Jayva McKibbin, Morgan Forthun, and Emerson Perrin all finding the back of the net in the first half. Perrin, in particular, had a standout performance with two penalty kick goals and a total of 23 goals in WDA play.
The Majettes currently sit at the top of the Western Dakota Association standings, with an impressive record of 97 goals scored and zero allowed in WDA play. Their next challenge will be against Jamestown, followed by a matchup against Bismarck Century.
Freshman goalkeeper Kinsli Gilmore has been a key player for Minot High, with 12 shutouts in WDA play and 37 saves on the season. The team will look to continue their winning streak as they face off against Williston in their final regular season home game at Duane Carlson Stadium.
With their eyes set on the playoffs, the Majettes are proving to be a force to be reckoned with in girls soccer. Fans can expect more exciting matches and impressive performances from this talented team.
