In an impressive display of skill and determination, the Manson girls’ tennis team swept the Cascade girls in a decisive 5-0 victory at home on Saturday. The girls showcased their talent and teamwork, with standout performances from various players.

The JV girls team of Stella Petersen and Brynn Williams surprised everyone by defeating two varsity singles players in a doubles match. Natalee Reyna and Genna Torres continued their undefeated season with another victory, while Kayden Koth and Addie Richmond maintained their undefeated record as a team with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Destiny Lopez improved her varsity record to 4-0 at #3 singles, and Olivia Smith and Karly Naranjo secured impressive wins at #1 and #2 singles.

On the boys’ side, missing two top Varsity athletes, the team faced tough matches but struggled to close when it mattered most. The JV boys also had some notable victories, including wins from PD Sanchez, Alex Chavez, and Phoenix Berg.

The girls’ team dominated the scoring report, with singles wins from Olivia Smith, Karly Naranjo, and Destiny Lopez, as well as doubles victories from Natalee Reyna/Genna Torres and Kayden Koth/Addie Richmond. The boys’ team had a tough day, but they are determined to use these losses as motivation to improve.

Manson’s next match is set to take place at home on Monday against Oroville at 4:00 p.m. Fans can expect another exciting display of talent and determination from both the girls’ and boys’ teams.
