Mansoor bin Mohammed participates in Arab Media Award ceremony in the UAE

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, graced the 23rd edition of the Arab Media Award (AMA) ceremony with his presence. The event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, took place on the opening day of the 22nd Arab Media Forum (AMF) as part of the Arab Media Summit. Organized by the Dubai Press Club (DPC), the AMA aims to recognize and honor exceptional media professionals who have made significant contributions to the industry.

During the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mansoor congratulated the winners of the Arab Media Award, commending them for their outstanding achievements in excellence and innovation. He encouraged them to continue producing high-quality content that serves society and celebrates its accomplishments. His Highness emphasized the importance of empowering Arab society to play a leading role in global sustainable development, with the award serving as a catalyst for inspiring the entire Arab media industry to strive for excellence and innovation.

The Media Personality of the Year award was presented to Lebanese author and journalist, Samir Atallah, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to Lebanese media. Additionally, the Best Columnist award was bestowed upon Tunisian writer Abdul Latif Al-Zubaidi from the UAE newspaper Al-Khaleej for his intellectual contributions that have enriched the Arab press with insightful articles and ideas. The late Lebanese journalist Giselle Khoury was posthumously honored with the Special Recognition award for her significant contributions to Arab media through her impactful programs on international news channels.

Diaa Rashwan, Chairman of the AMA Board, extended his congratulations to all the award winners, highlighting the board’s commitment to celebrating excellence and outstanding achievements in media. He emphasized that the Arab Media Award not only acknowledges individual and collective accomplishments but also fosters a culture of excellence within the industry, inspiring others to pursue innovation, integrity, and excellence in their work.

Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, praised the growing profile of the award as a platform for celebrating excellence in Arab media. She acknowledged the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in enhancing the stature of the award and emphasized the rigorous selection process and high standards maintained by the board of directors.

The Arab Media Award winners in various categories, including Arab Journalism, Digital Media, and TV, were also announced during the ceremony. Notable winners included Ali AlSarai for Political Journalism, Sahar Al-Maliji for Investigative Reporting, and Cairo 24 for Best News Platform in the Digital Media category.

Overall, the Arab Media Award ceremony was a testament to the commitment of Dubai and the UAE to fostering a dynamic, innovative, and ethically driven media environment in the Arab world.
