Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh Shine in Shooting Olympic Trials
In the latest Shooting Olympic trials held at the Madhya Pradesh Academy, Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh showcased their exceptional skills in the 25-metre sports pistol event. Both shooters scored an impressive 586, solidifying their dominance in the competition.
With only the best three out of four scores considered for selection, Manu and Esha were clearly ahead of the pack. Despite a strong performance in the previous trials, world record holder Rhythm Sangwan struggled to keep up with scores of 574 and 566 in Delhi. Although she improved with scores of 586 and 584 in the recent trials, catching up to Manu and Esha proved to be a challenging task.
While Manu and Esha are set to continue their stellar performance in the upcoming air pistol trials, Rhythm has shifted her focus to securing a spot in the event as she aims for a place in the Paris Olympics.
In the men’s 25-metre rapid fire pistol event, Anish Bhanwala stood out with a score of 583 in the fourth trial. Despite tough competition from Ankur Goel and Adarsh Singh, Anish’s consistent performance secured his lead in the competition.
As the trials progress, the competition remains fierce as shooters strive to earn a spot in the upcoming Olympics. Manu, Esha, and Anish’s remarkable performances have set the stage for an exciting showdown in the finals.
