The Central boys volleyball team secured a dominant victory over Bishop Guilfoyle, improving their record to 4-7 in high school action. The match, held at the Pleasant Valley gymnasium, saw Central triumph with scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-12.

Bryson Brooks led the charge for Central with 14 kills, eight digs, and four service points, while Christian Heuston contributed nine kills and six service points. Blake Reynolds added 10 digs and four service points, and Logan Hummel tallied 31 assists and six service points. Mason Kocsis also made an impact with eight serving points.

On the Bishop Guilfoyle side, Brenden Young recorded six service points, three digs, and 13 assists, while Noah Kelleher contributed six kills, two blocks, three digs, and two service points. Marklin Myers added seven kills and six digs to the Marauders’ efforts.

The win boosts Central’s record to 4-7, while Bishop Guilfoyle falls to 0-7. In other sports news, the Tyrone boys track and field team swept the competition, defeating Juniata Valley and Williamsburg in a meet. The girls team also secured victories over Juniata Valley and Williamsburg, showcasing impressive performances across various events.
