Marika Auramo named CEO of Vodafone Business

Vodafone, a leading telecom company, has announced the appointment of Marika Auramo as the new CEO of Vodafone Business, effective from 1 July 2024. With over 25 years of experience in the global IT industry, Marika is a highly respected business leader who joins Vodafone from SAP, where she served as Chief Business Officer for the EMEA region.

During her time at SAP, Marika was responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy for the company’s product portfolio across 89 countries and managing a team of 14,000 employees. She has held various leadership roles at SAP since joining in 1999, including COO EMEA North and Managing Director for the Nordic and Baltic region.

Margherita Della Valle, CEO of Vodafone Group, expressed her excitement about Marika joining the team, highlighting her extensive B2B experience in the IT industry. Marika also shared her enthusiasm for the new role, emphasizing the growth opportunities ahead for Vodafone Business as more companies and sectors embrace digital tools for growth and productivity.

Marika will be taking over from Giorgio Migliarina, who successfully led Vodafone Business as interim CEO. The business reported a 5% service revenue growth in the Group’s third-quarter trading update, driven by strong public sector demand and increased customer adoption of digital services like Cloud, Security, and IoT.
