Marjorie Taylor Greene alleges that Democrats wish for Trump to be ‘murdered in jail’

Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has made shocking claims that Democrats want former President Donald Trump to be “murdered in jail,” without providing any evidence to support her allegations.

During an interview with Infowars host Alex Jones, Greene suggested that the criminal cases against Trump, including an ongoing trial where he faces 34 felony counts related to hush money payments, are part of a deliberate effort by Democrats to imprison him until he dies. She also claimed that Democrats are trying to strip Trump of his Secret Service protection in order to facilitate his murder while in jail.

Greene referenced a bill proposed by Mississippi Democrat Rep Bennie Thompson, which aims to remove Secret Service protections from former government officials convicted of a felony. The bill, titled the DISGRACED Act, has garnered support from eight other Democrats and would require the Secret Service to relinquish protective duties to prison personnel.

This is not the first time Greene has suggested that the criminal cases against Trump are politically motivated to harm him. She has previously accused the Biden administration of trying to put Trump in prison for the rest of his life, which she described as a “death sentence.”

Trump, who is currently on trial in New York for falsifying business records related to hush money payments, has denied all charges against him and labeled the legal proceedings as a “witch hunt.” Greene, a known conspiracy theorist and staunch supporter of Trump, has echoed his sentiments and called the criminal cases against him “rigged.”

Despite the lack of evidence to support her claims, Greene’s statements have once again stirred controversy and raised concerns about the political climate in Washington.
