According to the police report, the altercation started when Jones stood up to retrieve his belongings from the overhead compartment before the plane had come to a complete stop. This action led to a confrontation with a fellow passenger, James Dos Santos, who pushed Jones in the chest. Jones then grabbed Dos Santos’ arm and issued a warning, leading to a quick apology.
However, another man, Alexander Lekht, joined the fray by yelling at Jones from a different seat.
