Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has revealed that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has made significant lifestyle changes since taking office, opting for “normal clothes” and embracing simplicity. The provincial government spokesperson made these comments during an appearance on Geo News’ program “Geo Pakistan.”

Maryam Nawaz, who made history as Punjab’s first female CM in February, has been praised for her proactive approach to governance. However, she has also faced criticism, with social media users accusing her of wearing expensive and branded clothing.

In response to these allegations, Minister Bukhari defended Maryam’s fashion choices, stating that the CM now prefers simple attire. She emphasized that Maryam’s performance as a leader should be the focus of discussion, rather than her wardrobe.

Bukhari also highlighted the CM’s commitment to tangible projects, noting that all initiatives undertaken by Maryam Nawaz will be completed. She specifically mentioned the “Panic Helpline” program, which is designed to assist vulnerable members of society and will be linked to the police control system.

Additionally, the minister announced a new project to provide breakfast meals to 500,000 children in South Punjab, set to launch within two months. These initiatives demonstrate Maryam Nawaz’s dedication to improving the lives of Punjab’s residents and her focus on delivering real results for the community.
