NEK Broadband, a leading provider of internet services in Vermont, has announced a new seasonal program to cater to customers who are not year-round residents in the area. The program offers various options for customers to choose from based on their needs and usage patterns.

Customers can opt to keep their service year-round, allowing them to utilize smart home and security devices even when they are not in town. This option also helps in expanding the network to reach unserved and underserved neighbors in the Northeast Kingdom.

Alternatively, customers can choose a less expensive service package for the months they will not be living in the area. They can also pause their service for up to six months and pay a one-time fee of $99 when they resume service. Another option is to pay the full cost of installation upfront and receive a monthly discount on the service for 48 months.

In addition to the seasonal program, NEK Broadband is also offering job training opportunities in the area. They have partnered with the North Country Career Center to provide a comprehensive 3-week training program to become an entry-level Broadband Network Construction Technician. The program is open to everyone, and they encourage women, BIPOC individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community to apply.

Overall, NEK Broadband is committed to providing flexible options and job opportunities to support the community in the Northeast Kingdom. Customers can learn more about the seasonal program and job training opportunities on their website.
