Mayank Yadav’s Injury Woes Continue in IPL 2024

New Delhi, Apr 30, 2024: Mayank Yadav, the promising young fast bowler for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), once again found himself plagued by injuries during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday.

Yadav, who had recently returned to the team after a previous injury layoff, struggled in the match against MI, leaking runs early on. Despite picking up a crucial wicket, he had to leave the field due to discomfort after bowling the first ball of the 18th over.

This is not the first time Yadav has faced injury issues during a match. Earlier in April, he had to leave the field during a game against Gujarat Titans due to abdominal issues, causing him to miss several matches.

LSG’s bowling coach Morne Morkel had confirmed Yadav’s fitness before the match against MI, but the young bowler seemed to be lacking his usual intensity. Despite touching speeds of 150 km/h, he did not look as sharp as in previous matches.

Yadav had made a significant impact in the IPL 2024 season, impressing with his pace and picking up crucial wickets. His fitness will be crucial for LSG as they aim to qualify for the playoffs, with the team relying on his contributions in the fast bowling department.

As fans wait anxiously for updates on Yadav’s condition, his fitness will remain a key concern for LSG as they continue their campaign in the IPL 2024 season.
