Reading Time: < 1 minute

After 15 years of dedicated service, Mayfield Village bid farewell to Finance Director Ron Wynne during the May 20 council meeting. Wynne, who played a crucial role in guiding the village through challenging times, has decided to retire and spend more time with his family.

During his tenure, Wynne successfully navigated the village through the departure of Progressive Insurance, ensuring that Mayfield Village remained financially stable with a surplus of over $40 million. Mayor Brenda Bodnar expressed her gratitude for Wynne’s exceptional leadership and praised his legacy of sound financial management.

In a heartfelt speech, Mayor Bodnar acknowledged Wynne’s invaluable contributions and wished him well in his retirement. She highlighted his professionalism, transparency, and sense of humor, which will be greatly missed by the community.

Wynne, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the friendships he has made in Mayfield Village and his optimism for the village’s future. He emphasized the importance of strong leadership and vision for the continued growth and success of the community.

As Wynne embarks on this new chapter in his life, Mayfield Village has appointed Angie Rich as his successor. Rich, who was sworn in last month, will continue Wynne’s legacy of financial stewardship and dedication to the village. The community looks forward to welcoming Rich and building on the foundation laid by Wynne.
