The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) recently announced the 2024 Tennis All-Academic Selections, recognizing 59 student-athletes from the conference’s eight institutions for their academic achievements during the 2023-24 academic year.
Morgan State stood out with a total of seven athletes named to the all-academic team. The women’s program was represented by Aleksandra Evdokimova, Lauryn Hall, Stefania Moysiadi, and Hannah Smith, while Niles Rachal, Jaeden (Kondwani) Patterson, and Rhajzon Rankins made the list for the men’s team.
To be eligible for All-Academic accolades, MEAC sophomore, junior, and senior student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. Transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year are also eligible for this recognition.
Other institutions that had student-athletes named to the 2024 All-Academic team include Coppin State, Delaware State, Howard, Norfolk State, North Carolina Central, and South Carolina State.
This achievement highlights the dedication and hard work of these student-athletes, who have excelled both on the tennis court and in the classroom. The MEAC’s commitment to academic success is evident through the recognition of these outstanding individuals, who serve as role models for their peers and the broader community.
