Reading Time: < 1 minute

Minister of Tourism Denise Charles-Pemberton of Dominica recently met with WINAIR’s Operations Manager, Dhanash Ramdath, to discuss the expansion of air travel to and from the island. The meeting, which was deemed significant by the Tourism Ministry, aimed at enhancing air travel while building on the partnership established during the recent Routes Americas Conference.

During their visit to Dominica, the WINAIR team explored various attractions such as Trafalgar Falls, Fresh Water Lake, and the therapeutic Sulphur Springs. They also immersed themselves in the culture of the Kalinago Territory, took a tour of the Indian River, and enjoyed thrilling water sports activities at Soufriere like kayaking, diving, and snorkeling.

Discussions during the meeting revolved around WINAIR’s vision for the region, Dominica’s aviation aspirations, and opportunities for increased collaborations such as new routes and more direct flights. WINAIR has shown dedication to Dominica by partnering with the island on various occasions, including featuring President Sylvanie Burton in their magazine and offering an all-inclusive getaway to the Jazz n Creole Festival 2024.

Meetings like these not only boost collaborations but also allow both parties to address common issues and find solutions while fostering partnerships and building relations. The commitment shown by WINAIR towards Dominica highlights the airline’s trust in the island nation and its people, paving the way for a stronger partnership in the future.
