Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s new Goop-style website has been hijacked, causing quite a stir in the online world. The mum-of-two recently launched her American Riviera Orchard website, with a soft launch of her first product – a limited-edition jar of strawberry jam. However, it has now been revealed that the UK domain name for her business has been taken over by a fan of her sister-in-law, Catherine, Princess of Wales.
The UK version of the website, ‘americanriveriaorchard.uk’, now redirects users to a food bank, asking for donations to the Trussell Trust charity. The site features messages expressing support for Catherine, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy after cancer was detected in her body following surgery earlier this year.
The Trussell Trust charity has confirmed that they did not set up the webpage and are not associated with the bogus site. Despite this, the linked page has managed to raise £56 of its £1,000 donations target, with users leaving both derogatory remarks and messages of support for Catherine.
Meanwhile, Prince William, husband of Catherine, has returned to official royal duties, visiting a food distribution charity called Surplus to Supper. This marks his first official engagement since Catherine’s cancer diagnosis was made public. The royal couple has been in the spotlight recently, with Catherine’s health struggles drawing attention and support from around the world. The hijacking of Meghan’s website domain adds another layer of intrigue to the ongoing royal drama.
