Middle Tennessee Men’s Tennis Team Wraps Up Impressive 2024 Season

The Middle Tennessee men’s tennis team concluded their 2024 season on a high note after reaching the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year. Head Coach Jimmy Borendame praised his team’s performance, highlighting the hard work and dedication of his players and coaching staff.

The Blue Raiders had a remarkable season, earning 21 wins and finishing with a 15-2 record at home. They defeated seven Power-5 teams and recorded six ranked wins, showcasing their strength and competitiveness on the court. The team also secured their fifth consecutive Conference USA title, with several players receiving individual honors.

Leo Raquin was named CUSA Player and Newcomer of the Year, while Jakub Kroslak earned CUSA Freshman of the Year. Coach Borendame was recognized as CUSA Coach of the Year for the fifth time. The team’s success continued in the NCAA Tournament, where they advanced to the Round of 32 after defeating No. 30 Georgia Tech in the First Round.

As the season comes to a close, players Ondrej Horak and Raquin will represent Middle Tennessee at the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Stillwater, Okla. The Blue Raiders have solidified their place as one of the top teams in the country, with a strong presence in all three Championships.
