Middle Tennessee men’s tennis is on a winning streak as they clinched their fifth consecutive Conference USA title. The Blue Raiders are now gearing up for the NCAA Tournament selection show on NCAA.com next Monday, where they will find out their next opponent. To celebrate their success, the team will be hosting a watch party at The Boulevard on April 29, with 15 percent of proceeds going to the Blue Raider Athletic Association’s Student-Athlete Impact Fund.
This will mark MTSU’s 16th appearance in the NCAA Team Tournament, with the team making it to the second round four times, including last season at the Starkville Regional. The men’s tennis team has been dominating the competition, as shown by their recent social media posts celebrating their five-peat victory.
In other sports news, Middle Tennessee men’s golf is also making waves as they finished the first round of stroke play in second place at the Conference USA Championship. Luke Perkins tied his career low with a round of 69, positioning himself tied for third place individually. The team’s strong performance has them in a good position to make the cut for match play.
As the school year comes to a close, the Blue Raiders are gearing up for their final games and events, including a three-game series against WKU in baseball and the upcoming Raider’s Choice Awards show. Fans are encouraged to tune in to honor the student athletes and celebrate the team’s successes throughout the year.
