CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In an exhilarating match, the No. 12 Harvard men’s tennis team defeated No. 22 Michigan State with a score of 4-0, securing their spot in the 2024 NCAA Sweet 16. The match took place at the Beren Tennis Center in front of a lively crowd.

This victory marks a significant achievement for the Crimson, as they have now reached the Sweet 16 for the second consecutive year after a long hiatus since 2004. The team’s stellar performance in both singles and doubles play propelled them to this milestone.

The doubles point was a nail-biter, with Harvard clinching victories at the No. 1 and 3 spots. Masato Perera and Alan Yim secured a crucial tiebreaker win, while Daniel Milavsky and Cooper Williams fought back to defeat the No. 65 nationally ranked duo, giving Harvard the edge in the doubles competition.

In singles action, Milavsky and Ronan Jachuck delivered impressive straight-set victories, putting Harvard within reach of the overall win. The match was ultimately sealed by Masato Perera, who triumphed over his opponent at the No. 6 spot.
