Sophie White, one of 300 qualified Mental Health and Exercise Coaches nationwide, is set to host MHEC-Fest on April 20th. This free event aims to prioritize mental health alongside physical health, addressing common concerns about exercise such as fear of looking foolish and cost barriers.
Sophie, a certified coach, will share her personal journey with mental health and how exercise has positively impacted her life. She will also delve into the scientific links between mental health and exercise, highlighting the benefits for confidence, resilience, and body appreciation.
The event will kick off with a talk from Sophie followed by an inclusive workout session designed to cater to all fitness levels. Sophie emphasized the importance of creating a safe space for people to exercise and encouraged those with negative exercise experiences to attend.
MHEC-Fest will take place from 12pm to 2pm at the Stourvale Centre in Bournemouth. While the event is free, attendees must sign up in advance. For more information and to register, visit @sophiewhite.pt on Instagram.
