Michael Page excited to deliver a kick to Colby Covington’s face

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Michael “Venom” Page, the recent UFC debutant, has made it clear that he has no love lost for welterweight contender Colby Covington. During an appearance on UFC DAY OFF, Page expressed his disdain for Covington’s trash talk, especially the disrespectful comments he made about champion Leon Edwards’ late father. Edwards went on to defeat Covington in a dominant performance at UFC 296.

Page, known for his flashy fighting style and viral knockouts, believes that insults like those from Covington have no place in combat sports. “I hate this guy,” Page said. “I’m going to be happy to kick this guy in the face. … I find him fake. He just doesn’t seem like a nice guy.”

Despite the animosity towards Covington, Page remains focused on the competition and is not interested in fighting just for the sake of scalping a name. When asked about a potential matchup with Conor McGregor, Page emphasized his desire for challenging fights rather than seeking out big names for the sake of it.

Looking ahead, Page is eyeing a potential fight in his native England at UFC 304 in Manchester. However, he is finding it difficult to secure an opponent as he believes many fighters in the division are suddenly dealing with injuries.

With his impressive UFC debut and a desire to continue testing himself against top competition, Michael “Venom” Page is poised to make waves in the welterweight division.
