Miners boys lacrosse team emerges victorious against Bingham on Thursday

The Miners boys lacrosse team bounced back with a strong 11-5 victory against Bingham, ending a two-game losing streak. The win improved their overall record to 6-2 and their regional play record to 1-0 for the season. Up next, they will face off against Skyline, a 5A regional opponent with a 3-3 record, on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Dozier Field.

In baseball news, the Miners secured their third consecutive win with a 5-4 victory over Tooele on the road. This win brought their overall record to 10-5 and their regional play record to 4-1. Standout performances from Justin Michaelis and Lars Ence, who both batted .500 with two hits each, contributed to the team’s success. The Miners will have a rematch against Tooele on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Wasatch High School.

The Miners boys volleyball team faced a tough loss against rival Wasatch but quickly regrouped with a 3-0 win over Tooele. With an 8-6 overall record and a 3-2 regional play record, the team is gearing up to take on Jordan next. The upcoming match will be crucial as Jordan currently holds the top spot in Region 10 with a 10-6 overall record and a perfect 6-0 season record. The Miners have seven regular season games left before the 4A playoff bracket is revealed on May 1.
