Minnewaska dominates at West Central Conference tournament, claiming four boys tennis titles

The Minnewaska boys tennis team dominated the West Central Conference boys tennis tournament in New London, walking away with multiple titles. The doubles teams of Drew Bleick/Carter LeClair, Marshall Kopp/Landon Schiffler, and Xavier Johnson/Tyler Kohn all secured conference titles at double No. 1, 2, and 3, respectively, with perfect 2-0 records on the day. Tenzin Dahl also shined, winning a conference title in the No. 2 singles bracket with a 2-0 record.

In addition to their impressive wins, Minnewaska had strong finishes in other categories. Riley Thorfinnson took second place at No. 3 singles, Connor Quelle finished third at No. 1 singles, and Carson Beyer earned fourth at No. 4 singles.

Looking ahead, Minnewaska is set to face off against Fergus Falls in Alexandria at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by a match against Alexandria at 5 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Alexandria boys tennis team continued their winning streak with a decisive 6-1 victory over Litchfield at Sartell. Owen Gilbertson, Cole Haabala, Owen Godfrey, and Niklas Cook all secured singles sweeps, while the doubles teams of Bennett Teaser/Nathan Cook and Donovan Rousu/Scott Hrubes also earned sweeps at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.

With this win, Alexandria improved to 12-4 on the year and looks forward to upcoming matches against Fergus Falls and Minnewaska.
