Former model Crystal McKinney has filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging she was drugged and sexually assaulted by the music mogul at his New York City recording studio in 2003. McKinney, who won MTV’s 1998 Model Mission series, claimed she was promised help in her career by Combs after meeting him at a dinner in Manhattan.
The lawsuit states that McKinney was offered a joint laced with a narcotic or other intoxicating substance by one of Combs’ associates at the recording studio. It further alleges that Combs led McKinney to the bathroom while she was intoxicated and sexually assaulted her.
This is not the first time Combs has faced allegations of sexual misconduct. He has been accused of rape, sexual assault, and sex trafficking in other cases. Despite denying all allegations, Combs’ Miami and Los Angeles homes were raided by the Department of Homeland Security in March, which investigates human trafficking allegations.
In a recent development, Combs issued an apology on Instagram for a 2016 video showing him attacking his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office stated that while they found the images disturbing, they were unable to charge Combs as the conduct occurred beyond the timeline for prosecution.
The lawsuit filed by McKinney adds to the legal troubles facing Combs, as he continues to face scrutiny and backlash for his alleged actions.
