Molitor of ACH aims to improve upon fourth-place state finish

Almira/Coulee-Hartline Sophomore Naomi Molitor Aims for Success in State Golf Championships

COULEE CITY — After an impressive fourth-place finish at the 1B/2B Girls State Golf Championships as a freshman, Almira/Coulee-Hartline sophomore Naomi Molitor is back on the course this season with her sights set on another high placing.

Molitor’s success last year has fueled her determination to excel even further. She won a district championship to qualify for the state tournament, showcasing her resilience by coming back from a significant first-day deficit.

At the state championship held at the Tumwater Valley Golf Club, Molitor shot a total of 175 strokes over two days, securing a fifth-place finish. Her strategic focus on the short game proved to be a winning formula.

During the off-season, Molitor dedicated herself to training and competing at higher levels, under the guidance of PGA Professional Michelle Grafos. The hard work has already paid off, with noticeable improvements in her drives.

Molitor’s father, Dave Molitor, who also serves as the head coach of the Warrior golf team, commended her dedication and progress. He highlighted how her success in golf has positively impacted her performance in other sports, such as basketball and volleyball.

As the new season kicks off, Molitor is determined to continue improving her scores and aims to be among the top players at the state championship. With her drive and passion for the sport, Molitor is poised for another impressive showing on the course.
