Montgomery’s Cooper Roman’s hard work paid off in a big way during Monday’s District 4 playoff game against Northwest. The freshman second baseman went 2 for 2 with two RBIs and two stolen bases, helping lead Montgomery to an 8-0 victory in the quarterfinals.

Roman’s dedication to improving his hitting paid dividends as he sparked the offense and played error-less defense.
