Monumental Sports & Entertainment Receives 16 Capital Emmy Award Nominations

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is celebrating a whopping 16 nominations for the Capital Emmy Awards, recognizing their outstanding work in television production. The nominations span various categories, showcasing the talent both in front of and behind the camera at Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) and MSE’s productions team.

Zach Leonsis, President of Media & New Enterprises at Monumental Sports & Entertainment, expressed his excitement over the nominations, stating, “The Capital Emmys represent the highest honor for the television industry within our region of the country, and we are ecstatic to be nominated for 16 awards this year.”

The nominations include a range of programs such as “Drafting Ryan Leonard” for Sports Story – Long Form Content, “Capitals Pregame Live” for Sports Program – Live, and “Beyond the Buzzer: Thankful Meals” for Sports Program – Post-Produced or Edited, among others.

Monumental Sports Network has a history of success at the Capital Emmys, with over 40 wins in the past 10 seasons. The winners of this year’s awards will be announced during the 66th Emmy Awards Gala on June 22 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Bethesda, MD.

The network has recently undergone significant growth, rebranding from NBC Sports Washington to Monumental Sports Network and offering direct-to-consumer subscription memberships for viewers. With a diverse lineup of programming and live sports coverage, Monumental Sports Network continues to provide top-notch entertainment for fans across the region.
