Morgan Wallen Delays Grand Opening of Nashville Bar Over Memorial Day Weekend

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Country music star Morgan Wallen has hit another roadblock in his career as he postponed the opening of his Nashville bar, “This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen,” over Memorial Day weekend. This decision comes amidst his ongoing legal battle for a felony charge related to an alleged chair-throwing incident.

Wallen, in partnership with TC Restaurant Group, was set to unveil the new establishment to the public this past weekend. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the opening had to be delayed, with no new date announced.

Representatives for “This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen” expressed disappointment in having to delay the opening but assured the public that the venue would offer an exceptional experience once it finally opens its doors. They cited the extensive work that went into building the six-story venue and the complexities involved in the process.

While the exact reason for the postponement was not disclosed, reports suggest that final inspections may be pending, potentially impacting the acquisition of a liquor license. This delay could be further complicated by Wallen’s upcoming court hearing, which has been rescheduled to August 15.

The Nashville Metro Council’s recent denial of approval for the bar’s exterior sign, which encroached on the sidewalk, was not cited as the reason for the postponement. Additionally, concerns have been raised about Wallen’s previous chair-throwing incident at a nearby establishment, which resulted in felony charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

As fans eagerly await the opening of “This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen,” the future of the establishment remains uncertain as Wallen navigates his legal troubles.
