Morgan Wallen Denied Entry to Nashville Bar Due to Unhealthy Behavior, Council Says

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Country singer Morgan Wallen has hit a roadblock in his career as Nashville’s Metro Council has decided to deny him the honor of having his name in lights outside his new bar. This decision comes in the wake of Wallen’s recent arrest for reckless behavior, which has tarnished the city’s reputation.

The Council voted overwhelmingly against allowing Wallen’s name to be displayed outside the bar, with only three members in favor and 30 opposed. Councilmember Jordan Huffman called out Wallen’s comments and actions as hateful and dangerous, making it clear that he is not the ideal ambassador for Nashville.

Wallen’s history of controversial behavior includes a recent incident where he was taken into custody on three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct after throwing a chair off a downtown bar’s roof. An eyewitness reported that Wallen threw the chair for no apparent reason, landing it just feet away from Nashville PD officers.

Despite the backlash, Wallen has issued an apology for his actions, expressing his remorse for his behavior. However, the damage has been done, and his new bar, This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen, will not have his name displayed outside. Despite this setback, the bar is set to open its doors to the public this Memorial Day weekend.
