Mother Shocked as 4-Year-Old Daughter Left Alone on School Bus in UAE

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A 4-year-old girl was recently forgotten on the bus by staff members, sparking outrage and concern among parents in the UAE. The incident occurred in Sharjah, where the young girl was left behind on the school bus, only to be discovered by the bus conductor during the second trip of the day.

The parents of the girl expressed their shock and concern over the incident, stating that their daughter was lucky to have escaped unharmed. However, the young girl fell ill after the incident and had to be taken to the hospital for a check-up. Recounting the events, the mother of the girl shared, “It has been a few days since she started going to KG1. She wakes up at 5am, and the bus comes at 6am. She reaches the school by 6.35am. Children who wake up this early may fall asleep. So, I make it a point to remind the conductor to take care of her.”

The young girl had boarded the bus at around 6 am as usual, but did not make it to her classroom on time. It was only at 7:30 am that the bus conductor called the parents to inform them that their daughter had been left behind on the bus. The parents rushed to the school, only to find that their daughter was missing. They were finally reunited with her when the bus returned for its second trip at 8:40 am.

Infuriated by the incident, the family has decided to withdraw their child from the school and file a complaint with the local authorities. They have also chosen to opt for online education instead of sending their child back to school. The mother expressed her disbelief and disappointment, stating, “I can’t find the heart to send her to school until she is a bit older to look after herself. Our trust has been broken. We are lucky to get our child alive, I pray no other parents and child undergo such a miserable situation.”

The incident has raised concerns among parents in the community, with many referencing previous incidents where children suffocated to death after being left behind on school buses. The safety and well-being of children while in the care of school staff have become a major point of discussion, with parents calling for stricter regulations and oversight to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

As the investigation into the incident continues, parents are urged to remain vigilant and communicate with school authorities to ensure the safety of their children while commuting to and from school. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of children in all aspects of their daily lives.
