Motorola has made a big splash in the smartphone market with the official unveiling of the Edge 50 series, which includes the Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro, and Edge 50 Ultra. While the Edge 50 Pro was already launched in India recently, there is no confirmation yet on when the other two models will be available in the country. In addition to the new smartphones, Motorola also announced the launch of two new wireless earbuds – Motorola Buds and Motorola Buds+ in collaboration with audio giant Bose.
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, the most affordable phone in the series, features the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, a 6.7-inch FullHD+ pOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage. It runs on a modified version of Android 14 called Hello UI and comes with a 50MP primary camera, 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP selfie shooter. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging and starts at EUR 399 (approximately Rs 35,900).
The Edge 50 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and features a 6.7-inch 144Hz pOLED screen with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 125W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone sports a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, 13MP ultrawide shooter, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It is available on Flipkart starting at Rs 31,999.
Lastly, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, the most premium device in the series, boasts a 6.7-inch FullHD+ pOLED screen with a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of internal storage. The phone features a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The Edge 50 Ultra is priced at EUR 999 (approximately Rs 88,900).
In addition to the smartphones, Motorola also introduced two new wireless earbuds – Motorola Buds and Buds+ in partnership with Bose. The Buds+ come with Bose-tuned dual dynamic drivers, active noise cancellation, and EQ tuning, while the regular Buds feature 12.4mm dynamic drivers and active noise cancellation. The Buds+ are priced at $130 (approximately Rs 10,875) and the regular Buds are priced at $68 (approximately Rs 5,688).
