The Tribeca Festival has announced its lineup for the 2024 edition, promising an exciting array of films and documentaries. The festival will kick off with the world premiere of the Hulu documentary “Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge,” directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Trish Dalton.

Some of the other highlights in this year’s lineup include documentaries about iconic figures such as Liza Minnelli, Harry Belafonte, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Ani DiFranco, Linda Perry, Avicii, and more. The festival will also feature screenings of films like “Jazzy” starring Lily Gladstone, “Daddio” with Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn, and “Firebrand” starring Alicia Vikander and Jude Law.

Additionally, the festival will showcase two comedian-centric documentaries: “Group Therapy” produced by Kevin Hart and featuring Neil Patrick Harris, Mike Birbiglia, and Tig Notaro, and “Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution” with Lily Tomlin, Wanda Sykes, Rosie O’Donnell, Hannah Gadsby, and Joel Kim Booster.

Tribeca co-founder and CEO Jane Rosenthal expressed excitement about the lineup, stating that storytelling has the power to bring people together and offer hope in challenging times. Festival director Cara Cusumano praised the filmmaking community for delivering a diverse and impactful selection of films despite industry challenges.

The 2024 Tribeca Festival will feature 103 feature films from 114 filmmakers across 48 countries, with a focus on diversity and inclusion. The festival will run from June 5-16 in New York, showcasing a wide range of compelling stories and perspectives.
