N.B. Company Creates Distinctive Sea Salt Using Cape Enrage Water

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Nestled along the picturesque Route 114 in southeast New Brunswick lies a hidden gem – Fundy Coast Sea Soap and Sea Salt, owned by the dynamic duo Lorena DePrato-Najnar and Paul Najnar. This charming business, now in its fourth season, offers handcrafted sea soap, artisan sea salt, and even delectable chocolate.

Paul, the mastermind behind the sea salt production, harvests water from the nearby Cape Enrage beach and utilizes solar evaporation in a greenhouse to create the final product. Meanwhile, Lorena perfects her craft of soap-making, a skill she honed through trial and error.

Originally from Ontario, the couple was captivated by the beauty of New Brunswick during a vacation and decided to make it their home in 2017. Their leap of faith led them to purchase the stunning 35-acre property, sight unseen, and embark on a new adventure.

Visitors like Glen Brown from Alberta are enchanted by the unique process and products offered at Fundy Coast Sea Soap and Sea Salt. The business, strategically located in a tourism corridor, attracts tourists and locals alike with its high-quality goods.

For Lorena and Paul, the best part of their business is not just the products they create, but the serene surroundings and the warm community they are a part of. As they continue to grow and expand their reach throughout southern New Brunswick, Fundy Coast Sea Soap and Sea Salt remains a beacon of creativity and passion in the region.
