Natalie Cable from Bloomingdale’s is causing hitters to swing and miss

Bloomingdale High School softball pitcher Natalie Cable is making waves in the pitching circle this season with her impressive stats and dominant performances. The junior has been working on perfecting her curveball and change-up, adding more weapons to her already formidable arsenal.

Cable currently leads the Tampa Bay area and ranks third in the state with 175 strikeouts this season. Her ability to keep hitters off balance and her focus on taking each game one pitch at a time have been key to her success on the mound.

Head coach Leah Pemberton praised Cable’s velocity and grit, noting that her mentality of always wanting to win makes her a tough opponent for any batter. In 10 starts where she pitched seven innings, Cable struck out at least 15 batters eight times, including a game where she fanned 20 of the 21 batters faced.

Teammates and opponents alike have been impressed by Cable’s talent and skill. Bloomingdale catcher Ashlee Singer mentioned how intimidating it can be to face Cable, especially when she goes inside on batters and gets up on their hands.

Cable’s success isn’t limited to pitching, as she has also excelled at the plate, leading her team in home runs for the past three seasons. Her love for competing on both sides of the plate has earned her a verbal commitment to UCLA after high school.
