Craig Zablocki, a national motivational speaker, is set to bring his message of joy and purpose in aging to the National Senior Health & Fitness Day at the Monroe Center for Healthy Aging in Monroe. The event, scheduled for May 29, will feature Zablocki’s engaging and spontaneous talk that aims to connect with the audience on a personal level.
Zablocki, who transitioned from being a high school teacher to a successful public speaking career, believes in tapping into the qualities of children to find happiness and fulfillment as we age. His talk is promised to be real and unscripted, focusing on laughter and connection.
Sandie Pierce, the director of the Monroe Center, was impressed by Zablocki’s message and invited him to speak at the event. She hopes that Zablocki’s talk will re-invigorate attendees’ enthusiasm and compassion, adding to the lineup of previous national speakers who have graced the event.
In addition to Zablocki’s presentation, the National Senior Health & Fitness Day will include exercise demonstrations, health checks, and a free lunch. This year, attendees can also expect information on mental health and cholesterol checks, thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of Monroe County.
With a goal of reaching 140 attendees this year, the event promises to be a day filled with inspiration, education, and fun. Those interested in attending are encouraged to make reservations as seating is limited. To register, individuals can call 241-0404.
