Navjot Singh Sidhu expresses shock over Sanju Samson’s dismissal in ‘Doodh mein makkhi…’ | Cricket News

The Indian Premier League (IPL) witnessed yet another controversial dismissal during the match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals, where the visiting team’s skipper Sanju Samson found himself at the center of a heated debate.

In the 16th over of the match, Samson was caught by Shai Hope at the long-on fence off Mukesh Kumar. The catch was a tight one, with Hope managing to grab it just before the boundary ropes. The third umpire reviewed the decision and declared Samson out.

However, the Royals dugout believed that Hope had touched the boundary while taking the catch. This led to a dramatic scene where Samson initially walked off the field, only to return and engage in a heated discussion with the on-field umpires.

Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu weighed in on the controversy, pointing out that the replays clearly showed Hope’s foot touching the boundary line twice. Sidhu humorously compared the situation to finding a trout in a glass of milk, emphasizing the need for conclusive evidence in such cases.

Despite the controversial dismissal, Samson’s impressive knock of 86 off 46 balls was not enough to secure a victory for the Royals, as they lost the match by 20 runs. The defeat was only the third for the Royals in 11 matches, keeping them at the number two spot in the points table. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals, with 6 defeats and 6 victories in 12 matches, are currently placed at the fifth spot.
