NBA All-Rookie Team led by Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren

Reading Time: < 1 minute

San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama has solidified his status as a rising star in the NBA by being named a unanimous selection for the All-Rookie team this season. The talented rookie also earned the prestigious title of Rookie of the Year, further solidifying his place as one of the league’s brightest young talents.

Joining Wembanyama on the All-Rookie first team are standout players such as Chet Holmgren from Oklahoma City, Brandon Miller from Charlotte, Jaime Jaquez Jr. from Miami, and Brandin Podziemski from Golden State. Holmgren, who was the runner-up in the Rookie of the Year race, also received a unanimous selection for the first team.

The All-Rookie team voting reflected the earlier Rookie of the Year balloting, with Jaquez, Miller, and Podziemski following behind Wembanyama and Holmgren. Dallas’ Dereck Lively II was among the second-team selections, along with other promising rookies like Amen Thompson, Keyonte George, Cason Wallace, and GG Jackson II.

As the league prepares to announce the All-Defensive team and All-NBA team in the coming days, all eyes are on Wembanyama to see if he will continue his impressive rookie campaign by earning additional accolades. With his stellar defensive skills, Wembanyama is a strong contender for the All-Defensive team and is likely to receive consideration for the All-NBA team as well.

If Wembanyama achieves either of these honors, he will join an elite group of rookies who have made their mark on the league, including legends like Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Michael Jordan, and Larry Bird. The future looks bright for Wembanyama as he continues to make a name for himself in the NBA.
